12. Blow Hot, Blow Cold by Ellery Queen
The book is called “Blow Hot, Blow Cold” and the themes of hot and cold crop up over and over again in the story. It starts with a woman sweltering in the summer heat, envying her neighbor who has air conditioning. And air conditioning, with its ability to artificially advance or retard the apparent time of death, plays an important role. Everything ties together. Well done. |
