[The extra (d) in the name is for Doug]
This one is my favorite of the three "Tietjens novels" I've read so far (one more to go). In fact, the series could end here and I'd be content; I'm not quite sure what's left for the fourth novel.
In this installment, we get scenes of trench warfare, as well as Armistice Day celebrations. I also found this novel the most humorous (in the way that "The Good Soldier" was humorous) of the lot.
The last novel is short one. Maybe I can finish it tomorrow? _________________ Todd Eisworth
