7. Murder With Mirrors by Agatha Christie
Reaching into my box of 40 mystery books, I pulled this one out pretty much at random. I confess I have had difficulty finishing Agatha Christie books in the past. Her writing is stuffy and “thick” and it’s hard to read more than a few pages at a time. The characters are so stiff, so…British. They chat too much and they always seem to be having tea.
Anyway, this one concerns a murder at a juvenile detention facility. Miss Marple is on the scene, and solves the murder, and just in the nick on time too, since this reader was getting a little impatient after about 125 pages.
The real question is, am I going to be able to sit through 31 of these Agatha Christie novels? |

I dunno, but if you do, and at the rate you're going, you'll have hit your goal of 26 books reviewed somewhere near the end of February. The only one likely to beat you to the punch right now is Malabar, who's pretty much on target to get there by the end of the first week in February.
Yes, Doug, I know this is not a competition.

| IMHO, life is too short to read any books that are less than great. Don't choke down novels that don't suit you. |
