yes, this is the novel that the reese witherspoon movie was inspired by.
it's SO much different than the flick. hollywood dumbed her down.
example: in the movie, Elle Woods gets her B.A. in Fashion Merchandising. in the novel, Elle Woods practically INVENTS her major, "sociopolitical jewelry design", by combining sociology and poli-sci courses with the study of metallurgy and fashion and such. she's got more of a brain in the book, obviously.
not a challenging read, but i enjoyed it. |

| a couple very elementary seeming ideas, yes. Elle sketches out designs for lawyer-themed earrings (featuring tiny charms of gavelins(sp?) and briefcases and whatnot). |
