I watched the movie again a couple of weeks ago; reading the book provides a good counterpoint. (Seeing the film so recently gave me a leg up on speaking nadsat. ) In some ways the book was more and less disturbing than the movie --- in the movie, the sexuality was confined to adults, while in the book Alex is 15 and some of the girls are said to be 10. There are differences between Kubrick's film and Burgess's book of course; I think I like the movie better but that may be just because I saw it first.
