This is a book of short stories, set in Newford , when Charles de Lint was still writing about many characters and not just the few he seems to concentrate on now.
A decent number of the stories are written in the first person, and in several of them the only way to know who the narrator is, is to have read his previous books of short stories.
I enjoy reading his novels and short stories.... but it'd be nice if somebody in his universe had a standard 9-to-5 life. Sometimes it makes it a bit difficult to identify with the characters. |
