British foreign correspondent Faith Zanetti finds herself in Baghdad, 2003 - just as the American invasion begins. An inveterate adrenaline junkie, she loves the heat, the rush, the danger - to her, it's excitement. She lives for disasters, but can't absorb shockwaves in her personal life so easily: weapons inspector Joshua F. Klein manages to seduce her mind long before their bodies get anywhere near each other. If that weren't bad enough, he seems to be her best source for what's really going on in Baghdad. Is he for real? Is the war? Is anything? This sequel to Blundy's The Bad News Bible sees Faith thrown into existential angst that is no longer amenable to treatment with a stiff drink or ten.
Lots of fun, with a warped and rotted core.
