I was so happy to be finished with Henry James! My wife and my friend Josh both told me to read this book, so I did.

I liked it, but probably not as much as they did. It was very cool how the actual mysteries have very little suspense. They are on the order of "A lady told our heroine that her diamond ring was missing. She went to the fence, who said Mr. Jones had tried to sell him a diamond ring. She confronted Mr. Jones and he said he would give it back."

But you don't care. It isn't about the actual mysteries.

A very nice book. And not at all like Henry James.
