"Queen's Experiments in Deduction"
This is a charming collection of 16 stories. The first one runs 40 pages, but the rest of them are quite short - some as little as 3 pages. I like the one where Ellery shows up at school to do a show-and-tell, only to find that someone has stolen $7 from the teacher. Ellery has until the end of the peroid to deduce the identity of the thief. The last story, "Abraham Lincoln's Clue," is memorable as well.
These EQ short stories are well-received elsewhere, but I sometimes have trouble with them. It's tiring to have to get to know a whole new set of characters every 10 pages or so.
