I havent read his most poular (Tuesdays with Morrie) so I was a virgin to him. His writing style in this was very simple, probably so anyone ever could read it easily. Because of this and its shortness it was a very easy read, and the simplistic style, while at first seemed too simple, grew on me, thus making it not annoying ever.
As far as content it was good. Nothing too religious or mind blowing, but it kept my attention, which is the best thing for a book.
I would give it a 7 out of 10. That may come to mean more later.
Its basically about Mitch's idea that in heaven we all meet 5 people that had some effect on our lives, or we effected their lives. Then they teach us something, then they move on. This is about this one guy, Eddie, and the 5 people he meets.
If you a re a softy, like I am, then the parts about love are pretty ok.... |
