Not a new formula, by any means, this novel is another exploration of ethical dilemas arising out of the rapid pace of scientific achievement woven together with intersecting lives and conflicts.
New explores the concept of animal-human hybrid with an engaging set of interlocking stories. While I found the transitions between characters and their respective tales somewhat more confusing than most of Crighton's novels, I found the underlying issue to be more compelling.
This novel was a quick and entertaining read that has enough thought-provoking substance to make it feel more like a meal than fast-food. Whether or not you are a Crighton fan, this is an enjoyable read. |

| Sorry about that, the title is "Next" not "New" -- the Bar Code on the cover must have distracted me. TDP |

I've edited the title and fixed it for you.
