This was the first novel I read on my Kindle, which definitely seems to be encouraging me to read more.
It's a different take on the Alice in Wonderland mythos, where Wonderland is presented as a real world. It reminds me a bit of the Amber series, where all the parallel worlds are but shadows of the real one, Wonderland being the "real" world here.
Alice (spelled Alyss in the book) is a princess in Wonderland, and the throne is taken over in a coup by her Aunt Redd, and she escapes to Victorian England, and eventually finds her way back to Wonderland.
Lots of action and not much depth, but a fun read, especially when there's a lot of stuff going on in the mundane world.
For under $4, and an instant download, it was worth the price of admission. |
