Book two of the Tiffany Aching books. In this novel, Tiffany travels to live with other witches in order to learn her trade. She becomes the apprentice for a kind elderly witch and meets other young witches in training. An evil spirit has it's eyes on Tiffany so in come the Wee Free Men to "save" the day.

(One of my favorite pieces of adult hummor in this comes right at the beginning. - There is a glossary of words common to the wee free men and their deffinitions. "Phished: I am assured this means 'really tired.'" - Classic.)
