41. Double, Double by Ellery Queen (1950)
I don’t like the Wrightsville books! I don’t like them, I don’t like them, I don’t like them! So after reading The Last Woman in His Life, I reached into the pile of unread Ellery Queen books and pulled out this one, and what do I get? Another Wrightsville book!
Actually this one is better than most. It introduces a character I cared about. Rima Anderson is a sort of wild-child who lives in a shack in the woods outside of town. She meets Ellery and together they solve the crime. The plot involves a series of murders done by a killer following the pattern of rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief… |
