Mikumi Nicknames
There is something about Mikumi that forces me to call him names other than "Mikumi." I don't understand why; "Mikumi" is the best cat-name I've ever come up with. It has an appropriate meaning ("set of three") and is in the right language (Both Mikumi and "Mikumi" are Japanese) and is very musical to say out loud. (Try it!) It also really fits him. You just look at him and realize he is a Mikumi. But I started calling him Wyft (for "Where's your ******* tail?") and now I've noticed that there is a set of names I tend to call him when he is attacking my feet or going for a ride on my shoulder. They are presented in order of discovery:
